In Oyo State, supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) battled in the early hours of Saturday (today), ahead of governorship and house of assembly elections.
According to reports acquired by Newsmen, the altercation occurred a few hours before the start of the civic exercise in ward 7 of the state’s Ibarapa East East Local Government Area.
According to reports, the violence began when some suspected PDP supporters allegedly stormed a bus transporting voters to the polling station.

In retaliation, several APC supporters were claimed to have tracked the attackers’ commanders to their hideout, where a free-for-all followed, injuring many people.
One of the injured is allegedly being treated at an unidentified hospital in town. According to Newsmen, the State Police Command has yet to issue a formal statement on the incident.
