Desmond Elliot, a Nollywood actor turned politician, has expressed gratitude to the Surulere 1 constituency for its victory in the Lagos State House of Assembly election.
According to news reports, the campaign season previous to the election was unpleasant for the congressman as Labour Party members dubbed “Obidients” promised to topple him.
Desmond’s role in the #EndSars movement and the urge to control the social media realm are mentioned by LP supporters.

Unexpectedly, the thespian won the popular vote on Saturday.
Desmond Elliot praised other candidates for their youthful exuberance during the campaign in an Instagram post on Sunday.
The lawmaker stated that he is eager to collaborate with them and exchange ideas on how to improve the Surulere constituency.
He wrote: “Thank you Surulere, I commend the worthy effort givenby other candidates in orher parties: Hon Thompson (PDP) Mr Olumide Oworu (LP) Mr Bode Adedayo (LP).
“I’m glad for the youthful zest you put into the campaign. Please I am more than willing to work with you and share ideas on how to make our dear constituency a better place.
