Aisha Yesufu, a political activist, has counseled Igbos in Lagos on how to deal with Yoruba harassment in the state.

According to news reports, there has been considerable agitation on the true owners of Lagos following the success of the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, in the polls during the presidential election.

While some Igbos argue that the state belongs to no one, the Yorubas, in turn, insist that they are the actual aboriginal proprietors of Lagos and that the easterners are only tourists.

This unrest comes as some Igbo electorates allege they were denied the right to vote because of their tribe, while others claim they have been physically attacked by Yorubas.

In response to the tribal clash, Yesufu turned to Twitter to urge Igbos in Lagos to visit Kano and learn how their brothers were able to prevent themselves from being victimized.

She wrote, “The Igbos in Lagos must go and meet their kinsmen in Kano and learn from them how they stopped themselves from being picked on as victims
