Obidients, followers of Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi, have been considered as more peaceful than supporters of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Senator Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central congressman, delivered the verdict on Wednesday via his social media account.

According to Sani, what Peter Obi supporters are doing in 2023 is more peaceful than what President Buhari supporters did in 2011.

Regardless of his point, he stressed that situations or acts that could lead to anarchy should not be promoted.

“NO patriot should trigger or encourage anarchy, but we shouldn’t also ‘shorten our memories’; what Peter’s supporters are doing in 2023 is more peaceful than what Buhari’s supporters did in 2011. You only need to recall the past in order to appreciate the present,” Sani wrote on Twitter.

During a recent meeting with some international media organizations in Washington, USA, the federal government, through the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, condemned and warned Obi against inciting Nigerians to violence over the outcome of the 2023 presidential election.

According to Mohammed, Obi is irresponsible to seek legal redress over the outcome of the presidential election while also inciting people to violence.

But, in response, Obi disputed the Minister’s claims of inciting individuals against the Nigerian state or pushing anyone to undermine Nigeria.

The former Anambra State Governor claimed that the government has initiated a smear campaign against him in order to demarket him.
