SHOCKING: 35 Year-Old Man Allegedly Rapes Two Year-Old Baby In Anambra

In Nzam, Anambra West Local Government Area of Anambra State, a man, 35-year-old Joseph Egwuatu, has been charged with raping his two-year-old niece.

Before allegedly executing the act, the suspect reportedly visited his brother’s home and dispatched the relative who was watching the baby on an errand.

On Wednesday, he was charged in the Children, Sexual, and Gender-Based Violence Magistrate Court in Awka.

Ify Obinabo, the commissioner for women’s and social welfare in Anambra State, expressed grief at the occurrence in a press statement issued by her media assistant, Chidinma Ikeanyionwu, but reaffirmed that justice would be served in full.

After being charged, the offender denied having sex with the child, according to Ikeanyionwu, who also revealed that he had offered to watch the child while the babysitter ran errands.

He added that after going outside to complete a few tasks, he came back inside to find the baby sobbing and found her lying in a pool of her own blood.

In order to educate the people of Anambra about the risks and effects of rape, child molestation, child labor, abuse, and other relevant topics, Ikeanyionwu stated that the ministry will shortly start a media tour.

The youngster, who will turn two on April 19, allegedly had his or her genital organ cruelly harmed, according to a family source who requested anonymity and claimed that Egwuatu deliberately dispatched the infant’s minder on an errand before committing the crime.

While the court ordered the offender to be kept in prison on remand, the youngster has been transported to the hospital for medical attention.
