Bashir Ahmad, President Muhammadu Buhari’s special assistant for digital media, has charged Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP), with harboring animosity for the North.
Ahmad claims that Obi has proven this truth numerous times, including while serving as the governor of Anambra State.
The presidential media aide continued by saying that as a result, no matter how many times Obi runs for president, the North will always reject him since he has made it abundantly plain that he dislikes northerners.
Even if Obi contests 1000 times, he will still be rejected 1000 times, in his opinion.

Ahmad wrote this in a Twitter post on Thursday in reaction to the news article published by an online platform with the headline “North will never vote for Peter Obi because we don’t like him: Bashir Ahmad .”
In his response, Ahmad not only reaffirmed the information that had been attributed to him in the magazine, but he also asserted that northerners detest Mr. Obi and will always seek to thwart his presidential aspirations.
He wrote: “Yep. It’s undeniable Mr. Obi doesn’t like us. He never misses an opportunity to show that, during his time as a governor, when he was contesting and now as the former presidential candidate; so we are only reciprocating, and if he runs 1000 times, we will reject him 1000 times.”
