Nigeria’s First Lady, Aisha Buhari, has conveyed congratulations to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of his inauguration on May 29.

Her husband, President Muhammadu Buhari, who has held office for eight years, will step down on May 29, 2023, following the swearing-in of the next administration.

Through her office’s director of information, Suleiman Haruna, Mrs. Buhari sent a message of goodwill in which she prayed for Tinubu and his cabinet as they assumed leadership of the nation after her husband.

The First Lady of Nigeria thanked all Nigerians for their prayers and support for her husband’s administration since he took office in 2015.

According to news reports, Aisha Buhari gave her message of peace on Friday in Abuja following the Eid ul-Fitr prayers.

She also advised Nigerians to keep praying for long-lasting stability and security in their nation. Hajara Alkali Baba, the wife of the Inspector General of Police, and other family members joined the first lady to lead the congressional Eid ul-Fitr prayer in Abuja.

Additionally, Mrs. Buhari advised the Muslim Ummah to consider the beneficial lessons of Ramadan. She wished Nigerians a tranquil Eid-el-Fitr and urged them to practice the good deeds of sharing, love, support, forgiveness, and sacrifice for the benefit of all people.

Sheikh Musa Dantsoho, the State House Mosque’s deputy imam, was also reported in the statement made accessible to newsmen as pleading with Muslims to learn the principles of Ramadan, which included love, sacrifice, tolerance, and the fear of Allah.
