The location and religion that should produce Nigeria’s next Senate President have been offered by Bashir El-Rufai, the son of Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai.

The next Senate President, according to Bashir, should be a Christian from the South-South.

Tweeting, Bashir wrote: “I personally feel the next President of the Nigerian Senate should be a Christian man or woman, preferably from the South-South region. Man proposes. Allah disposes.”

The debate has switched to who would be the next Senate President since Bola Tinubu, the winner of the most recent election, was elected president.

Relevant Southeast stakeholders have been pushing for the area to produce the nation’s next Senate President.

They based their decision on the idea that since the Southeast did not win the president, it should elect the Senate President.

However, it has been shown that the Northwest is one of the areas that produces the nation’s third-ranked guy.
