Nigerian Diaspora Academics and Campaign for Democracy, an organization in the UK and Europe, has called on Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the president-elect, to improve Nigeria’s economy and reduce the country’s level of insecurity during his four years in office.

The organization bemoaned the urgent need for attention in Nigeria.

The group’s president, Dan Farauta, reminded Tinubu via a statement on Monday that the mandate granted to him was not for absences.

He said that Nigerians needed a leader who would be physically there to save the nation and free its citizens from the brigandage of looters who had invaded the nation both internally and externally.

Farauta stated that since Nigerians had put in so much effort for the President-elect to win, it is now up to him to keep his word.

The group noted, “Nigerians have invested their political franchise for you which led to your victory in the just concluded presidential election.”

The statement further stated that because of the current government’s poor management of the nation’s wealth and resources, Nigeria as a whole is currently severely divided along several strata and is on the verge of dissolution.
