In order to prevent a repeat of the 2015 event that resulted in Senators Bukola Saraki and Yakubu Dogara serving as the Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representatives, respectively, it was reported that the APC NWC would meet with Tinubu.

Bala Ibrahim, the APC’s director of publicity, acknowledged the NWC meeting might happen this week in an interview with Newsmen on Sunday. By then, party members must have returned from the holiday vacation and their journey to Saudi Arabia for the lesser hajj.

He said, “We are expecting the President-elect to arrive hopefully from tomorrow (Monday). I may not be sure of the exact date, but I think the NWC meeting will also take place this week after everybody must have returned from the holiday break and their trip from Umrah.”
