Prior to taking office on May 29, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is said to have moved from his own apartment in Abuja’s Asokoro neighborhood to a temporary official residence at the Defence House in Maitama.

The former Lagos governor has arrived at the Defense House, which will serve as his official residence until May 29th, according to Festus Keyamo, spokesman for the disbanded All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council.

Keyamo tweeted on Wednesday saying, “The President Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu @officialABATearlier today arrived at the Defence House Maitama, Abuja which is the official residence of all President-elects before they move into the Villa after inauguration. President Muhammadu Buhari, who is completing his second and final term, will be replaced by Tinubu.

The presidential mansion, which is in the center of Abuja, reportedly had a recent renovation to suit the incoming president of the nation.

To accommodate a president-in-waiting as he gets ready for his forthcoming duties as the country’s new leader, the mansion should have cutting-edge security.

Many Nigerians are hoping that Tinubu’s administration would bring about positive change and growth and that his tenure will be defined by openness, accountability, and good governance as the country impatiently awaits his inauguration.
