10th NASS: Tinubu Meets Izunaso Behind Closed Doors Over Senate Presidency

Senator Osita Izunaso, a candidate for the Senate Presidency seat in the 10th National Assembly, met with the president-elect, Bola Tinubu, in a private meeting.

According to news sources, the meeting will take place before the All Progressives Congress (APC) zones its leadership for the 10th National Assembly.

Izunaso met Tinubu on Wednesday at the Defence House in Abuja. She is the senator from Imo West for the National Assembly.

According to information obtained, the meeting was a component of the ruling party’s deliberations on the zoning of the leadership positions for the National Assembly.

The discussion took place 24 hours after Tinubu hosted a meeting with Senator Jibrin Barau and former Niger Delta Minister Godswill Akpabio at his Asokoro residence in Abuja.

Additionally, Tinubu spoke with Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, the Chief Whip of the Senate, on the position of Senate President.

Sani Musa (from Niger East), Abdul-Aziz Yari (from Zamfara West), Ali Ndume (from Borno South), Dave Umahi (from Ebonyi South), and Adams Oshiomhole (from Edo North) are more candidates.
