According to Shehu Sani, a former senator from Kaduna Central, Bola Tinubu would take over a more extensive campaign against terrorism.

He said this when describing how Boko Haram was passed along to President Muhammadu Buhari.

He wrote: “The President of Nigeria inherited a war with Boko Haram Insurgents which he fought in the North East, and he is leaving behind for his successor an expanded war with Boko Haram, ISIS, Ansaru, gunmen and bandits. Security must be the top agenda of the next administration.”

Nigerians were tormented by Boko Haram, bandits, and ISIS under Buhari’s rule from the country’s northern to southern regions.

While ISIS, robbers, and Boko Haram terrorized the North, unidentified gunmen seized control of the Southeast.
