Lamidi Apapa, the factional leader of the Labour Party, LP, claims that talks are still taking on to find a solution to the party’s issue.

While answering questions on Arise Television’s News program on Friday, Apapa dropped this hint.

He revealed that the LP leadership and Peter Obi, the party’s presidential candidate in the general election scheduled for February 25 were attempting to put an end to the situation.

According to news reports, Apapa’s group suspended five executive members, including Julius Abure, the National Chairman of the LP, adding a terrible twist to the leadership squabble.

Recall that at the National Executive Council in Asaba, Delta State, the Abure-led faction suspended five executive members.

The party’s interim chairman Lamidi Apapa, Salem Lawal, Favour Reuben, Gbenga Daramola, Samuel Akingbade, and Mohammed Akali were among the suspended members.
