According to the National Association of Nigerian Students in Sudan, 1,300 stranded Nigerians left Khartoum on Sunday.

This was stated in a letter issued on Sunday by NANS Public Relations Officer Amal Pantami.

The letter, however, did not specify whether the trapped Nigerians would travel to Aswan or Port Sudan.

“This is to inform the general public that all remaining Nigerian students have been evacuated from Khartoum today, Sunday 30th April, 2023,” the letter said.

“There were a total of 26 buses, with each bus carrying approximately 50 people.
