Only God, according to Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, knows whose party he will cede power to on May 29.

At the commissioning of a few road projects in Kano, Ganduje made this statement.

“It’s common for a government to inherit projects,” he remarked. Some of the projects were ones we inherited and finished; others, as a government, we are handing over to the incoming administration. God alone knows which government, APC or NNPP, I would transfer power to.

Recall that the New Nigeria Peoples Party’s Yusuf Abba Kabir was proclaimed the winner of the Kano governorship race by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has disputed the results and dragged INEC and NNPP to court over the declaration of Yusuf of the New Nigeria People Party, NNPP as the governor-elect.

But, in April, the Kano state Executive Council set up a 17-member Transition Committee for a handing over to the incoming administration.

The council also approved a 100-member sub-committee whose constitution will be drawn from various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
