Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate for the general election of 2023, wished HRH Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred Ugochukwu Achebe, the Obi of Onitsha, a happy 82nd birthday.
The former governor of Anambra State wrote on his verified Twitter account on Sunday that the monarch’s sacrifices and dedication to a united, tranquil, and progressive Nigeria continue to be admirable.
Igwe Achebe was also praised and honored by Obi for all of his assistance during his ongoing stint as the governor of Anambra State.

Therefore, the LP flagbearer appealed to God Almighty to continue to bless and provide the monarch wonderful health.
He wrote: “I heartily congratulate His Majesty, Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred Ugochukwu Achebe, Obi of Onitsha, as he marks his 82nd birthday today. His Majesty’s sacrifices and commitment to a united, peaceful, and progressive Nigeria remain exemplary.
“I appreciate and celebrate him, for all his support to me during my years as the Governor of Anambra State, which has continued till today. I pray God Almighty to continue to grant him excellent health as well as bless him always.”
