Hilda Baci, a well-known celebrity chef in Nigeria, broke the previous record for a single cook’s cooking marathon while hugging her mother.

By cooking nonstop for 100 hours on Monday night, Hilda Baci reportedly shattered her own record and established a new one.

Chef Baci was originally going to finish cooking at 4 pm on Monday based on her 96-hour aim.

The 27-year-old has now achieved a new record after continuing with the cook-a-thon competition that was taking place at the Amore Gardens, Lekki, instead of giving up.

In an online video, Hilda’s mother is seen praising her daughter for a job well done.

It may be noted that Baci set a new record for the “longest cooking time” by an individual on Monday morning.

The Indian chef Lata Tandon, who set the previous record in 2019 by continuously cooking for 87 hours and 45 minutes, was eclipsed by the 27-year-old chef to become the new “Guinness World Record” holder.

The chef, who was born in Akwa Ibom, broke the record on Monday, May 15, at 7:45 a.m.

The “Cook-a-thon” effort was endorsed by a large number of Nigerians, including politicians and celebrities.
