David Adeleke, better known as Davido, is a prominent Afrobeats artist from Nigeria. He recently disclosed that the artwork for his most recent album, “Timeless,” has a complete depiction of his late son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.

Recall that Ifeanyi passed away in a pool at the singer’s home in Banana Island, Lagos State, in October 2022.

The ‘Omo Baba Olowo’ singer reportedly revealed that his late son served as the inspiration for the album’s cover art during a recent appearance on ‘The Cruz Show’ on Real 92.3 FM, according to Newsmen.

He claimed that Ifeanyi enjoyed the outdoors and that the elephant was his favorite animal, which was reflected in the artwork for the album’s cover.

Davido also mentioned that he recorded several of the songs for the album with his late son present in the studio.

He said, “The artwork represents a lot of things in my life. I lost my son last year. He loved nature; like trees. His best animal was elephant.

“And ‘Timeless’, if you look at the art cover, you will see elephant, you will see a lot of trees, and then you will see a bird on the left side; that represents him.”

Davido has hinted that he and American R&B singer Chris Brown may be working on a joint album.
