Over 100,000 people would be employed by the Dangote petroleum refinery, which can handle 650,000 barrels of oil per day (bpd). Additionally, it is situated on a 2,635 hectare plot of land in Lagos’ Ibeju-Lekki Free Zone.

It is believed that the new refinery can produce all of the refined products Nigeria needs, including gasoline (53 million liters per day), diesel (34 million liters per day), kerosene (10 million liters per day), and aviation jet (2 million liters per day), in addition to having a surplus for export.
