A 33-year-old man was detained on Monday for reportedly brutally shaking his 2-month-old child, resulting in a significant brain lesion.

The guy is accused of abusing children, and the Incheon District Court issued an arrest order for him due to fears that he could try to flee.
He is suspected of hurting his son at their Incheon, South Korea, home early this month. Incheon is 27 kilometers west of Seoul.

He acknowledged firmly shaking the infant in his arms.
The baby is currently undergoing care at a hospital for a fractured rib and a brain hemorrhage.

Officials suspect the cerebral haemorrhage may be a result of what is also known as a ‘shaken baby syndrome’.

The syndrome typically occurs in infants under the age of 2 when they are shaken strongly.

It can cause a cerebral haemorrhage and a retinal haemorrhage, and these symptoms can also come with rib fractures and other injuries.

The police also investigated his wife as a witness but did not find any evidence of her participation in the abuse, according to officials.
