Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate for the 2023 election, is present at the opening of the Dangote Refinery in Lagos State’s Ibeju-Lekki neighborhood.

The chairman of the Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, invited the former governor of Anambra State as well as other dignitaries, according to newsmen.

All 36 of the Federal Republic of Nigeria’s state governors, governors-elect, ministers, senators, leading international bankers, representatives of international multilateral organizations, and heads of industries both inside and outside of Nigeria are also anticipated at the event.

Over 100,000 people would be employed by the Dangote petroleum refinery, which can handle 650,000 barrels of oil per day (bpd). Additionally, it is situated on a 2,635 hectare plot of land in Lagos’ Ibeju-Lekki Free Zone.

It is believed that the new refinery can produce all of the refined products Nigeria needs, including gasoline (53 million liters per day), diesel (34 million liters per day), kerosene (10 million liters per day), and aviation jet (2 million liters per day), in addition to having a surplus for export.

In preparation for the opening of the Dangote Refinery in the Ibeju-Lekki region of the state, Rabiu Kwankwaso, the New Nigeria Peoples Party’s (NNPP) presidential candidate for the 2023 election, has arrived in Lagos.

Abba Kabir Yusuf, the incoming governor of Kano State, has also arrived in the region for the opening of the continent’s biggest refinery.

The host President, Muhammadu Buhari, and five other African Presidents will attend the historic event, according to a statement released on Sunday by the refinery’s management company, Sanford Group.
