The Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, has been questioned by social affairs analyst Deji Adeyanju over the funds he got for the 2023 elections.

Adeyanju said that the previous governor of Anambra State got billions of naira during his electioneering.

He said that the business community, religious leaders, and Nigerians from far and wide gave him the money.

Mr. Obi was urged to appear before Nigerians and detail how the funds were used.

In a post on his social media handles on Tuesday, Adeyanju said: “Where’re all the billions Peter Obi collected from church leaders, the business community and Nigerians during the election? Won’t he give account for the money?”

In the meantime, Adeyanju has been challenged by Obi’s supporters to provide evidence that the Labour Party got billions of naira from religious leaders.

Tony Charles said in his comment: “Give us evidence of all the billions you have alleged he collected from church leaders and maybe we’ll start from there. I noticed you are always on a different level when it comes to Mr Peter Obi.”

Olive Bassy commented: “Do church leaders really give out money to politicians or are you missing your afternoon dose?”
