Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje ordered all public officials with political appointments to transfer control of their offices in accordance with established protocol on Monday.
A declaration titled “Handover of Activates” from the Secretary’s office to the State Government, with the permanent secretary’s signature Hajiya Bilkisu Maimota, contains the directive.
All commissioners, special advisers, chief executives of parastatals and government-owned businesses, as well as any other political appointments, were ordered by the governor to turn over their duties to the director of administration and general services and permanent secretaries in their respective establishments.

The governor directed that all government properties in possession of the appointees be handed over to Permanent Secretaries or Directors Administration & General Services/Directors Personnel Management (DPM) as the case may be latest by May 26.
The governor also directed them to make copies of their handover notes to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government for records,” said the notes.( NAN)
