Two Kaduna APC Women Leaders Kidnapped By Bandits

Two female APC leaders have reportedly been kidnapped by bandits near the Manini hotspot in Kaduna State’s Birnin-Gwari Local Government Area.

The event occurred when Hajiya Lami Awarware and Hajiya Haulatu Aliyu, two female leaders, went to see the state governor, Uba Sani, get sworn in.
Ishaq Kasai, the chairman of the Birnin Gwari Emirate Progressive Union, told reporters about the development on Wednesday.

It was discovered that the suspects took the women into the forest during the kidnapping on Tuesday.
The chairman claimed that in addition to the women, the suspects also abducted a large number of additional victims.

He named Hajiya Lami Awarware and her assistant, Hajiya Haulatu Aliyu, as the two women leaders who had been kidnapped.

The abductors, according to the chairman, are yet to contact the families of the victims or any person in the area.
As of the time of filing this report, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Mohammad Jalige, had yet to respond to our correspondent’s enquiry on the incident.
