Mateo Kovacic has agreed to be sold by Chelsea to Manchester City for £30 million.
With Pep Guardiola as his new boss, Kovacic is expected to follow a slew of outstanding players leaving the west London club this summer.
The Premier League, Champions League, and FA Cup champions have been linked with the Croatia international for several weeks and have now reached an agreement with Chelsea.

Since joining Chelsea from Real Madrid in 2019, Kovacic has made over 200 appearances, helping the Blues win the Champions League and Europa League.
Kovacic was a key member of Chelsea’s squad last season, appearing in 37 games across all competitions, but the Blues are selling a lot of players as they try to cut a bloated squad that finished 12th in the Premier League last season.
Kovacic may have also pressed Chelsea’s hand, given he was expected to join Pep Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium.
As a result, he reached a personal agreement with the Champions League holders earlier this month and will now undergo a physical at City.

According to football transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, the Cityzens will pay Chelsea an initial £25 million for the Croatia international, with an additional £5 million in performance-related add-ons.
