Ayodeji Balogun, better known as Wizkid, a superstar musician from Nigeria, has made history as the first African performer to headline the prestigious Glastonbury event, the largest music event in the United Kingdom.
Over 210,000 people watched the “Essence” crooner perform on Friday at the festival’s “Other Side Stage” in Somerset, England.

The Grammy Award winner dazzled the crowd with a mix of his top hits, including “Essence,” “One Dance,” and “And Ojuelegba.”

Burna Boy, a Grammy-winning Nigerian musician, performed at the Glastonbury Festival in 2022 and enthralled the audience with his upbeat performances and covers of some of his top songs.

Burna graced the stage with top international acts like Billie Eilish, Lily Allen, Olivia Rodrigo, and Lorde.
