Buba Galadima, a NNPP chieftain, has denied reports that the party’s presidential candidate in the last election, Rabiu Kwankwaso, is defecting to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Galadima stated that Kwankwaso had yet to inform the NNPP of his intention to join the APC.
However, in an interview with Channels Television, Kwankwaso stated that he was willing to cooperate with President Bola Tinubu.

According to Galadima: “Kwankwaso has not told anybody he is joining the APC; people are just talking, but what we have before is winner take all. If Tinubu is calling for a unity government, it is not a bad thing.”
Since Tinubu’s victory in the presidential election in February, Kwankwaso has been seen in his company.
There are rumors that Tinubu may nominate Kwankwaso to a political position.
