The National Population Census (NPC) has said that it is no longer hiring.
The Commission was responding to a false tweet congratulating a candidate on a successful application for Census Adhoc Staff, according to reporters.
In a tweet, the NPC warned the public to be on the lookout for false applications because the commission had completed recruiting for the 2023 census before its move.

The NPC said, “The Commission wishes to inform the public that it is not undergoing any recruitment exercise for the Census at the moment.
“Kindly note that NPC has concluded recruitment of the functionaries for the 2023 Census before the exercise was postponed.”
