Kidnapped Osun Housewife, Child Regain Freedom

Eniola Adedeji, a housewife from Osogbo, Osun State, and her son Alfred have reclaimed their freedom after being kidnapped by unidentified individuals suspected of being kidnappers.

The mother and boy were allegedly kidnapped on Saturday night in Osogbo’s Ota Efun neighborhood by unidentified individuals who were allegedly carrying weapons.
Family sources claim that they were freed by their kidnappers on Sunday night in Ikirun.

According to reports, the victims were traveling from the Oke Baale Area of Osogbo to Ota Efun on a commercial motorcycle when a car blocked their path. The car’s occupants then allegedly forced them into a bus and took them to an unidentified location.

It was learnt that after the incident was reported at the state Police Command, the mobile phone of the victim was tracked to Ikirun, another town in the state by the operatives.
“But before police could move in, the perpetrators had abandoned the victims and fled. But the woman and the son have been reunited with her husband,” a top security source who pleaded anonymity said during an interview with The ANAEDOONLINE.

The Osun Police Command spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola could not be reached through her phone, but the husband of the victim, Isaac Adedeji, confirmed the release during an interview.

Although he declined to give details of how his wife and child regained freedom, when asked if the victims have been released, Adedeji simply said, “They have been released. But I can’t give you the details now, please.”
