Following President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s appointment of former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike to the ministerial position, several Nigerians are speculating about “Rerun” as a potential ruling of the Election Petition Tribunal.
Wike was listed as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Festus Keyamo as the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, among other positions, in the entire list of ministerial portfolios under the Tinubu government that was made public on Wednesday night, according to Anaedoonline.ng.
However, given the numerous unsubstantiated accusations that Wike assisted in the suspected rigging in Rivers State during the 2023 presidential election, some Nigerians have voiced conflicted views over Wike’s position.

At the time of the report, ‘Rerun’ is trending on the microblogging platform, Twitter, with over thirteen thousand tweets linked to Wike’s appointment.
