Veteran Nigerian musician Charles Oputa, also known as Charly Boy, has requested that Edo State’s Obidients, who turned out in large numbers to support Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi, be detained by the Department of State Service (DSS).
According to Anaedoonline.ng, the LP flag bearer participated in a big rally yesterday with hundreds of other party members ahead of the local government elections in Edo State.
Olumide Akpata, a recent addition to the party and the former president of the Nigerian Bar Association, was also present.

A sizable group of LP fans could be seen cheering on the former governor of Anambra State in a number of web videos.
Charly Boy responded to the overwhelming support from Edo citizens by praising Obidients for coming out en masse.
Then he continued to insult the DSS, telling them to go and arrest people for showing support for Obi’s presidential campaign.
According to him, “My people for Edo, abegi I just wan hail una to say well done. I no know say una craze for Obi matter pass my own, I bow for una. Na our President be dis, any other person na counterfeit. As DSS don turn another tin, oya make dem go arrest people wey commot to welcome der Presido.”
