Kenneth Okonkwo, the leader of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has said he is afraid of the ruling Labour Party (LP).

According to Anaedoonline.ng, this came after Wike declared that the PDP leadership at the South-South zone and Rivers State levels had authorised his nomination as a minister to work in President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Wike argued that he had approval from the PDP before accepting the All Progressives Congress (APC) ministry job during a Wednesday appearance with Channels TV Politics Today.

In response, Kenneth Okonkwo said that only the LP and its presidential candidate in the 2023 election had made it clear that they are not a part of the corrupt government. He made this claim in a tweet shared on Twitter.

He said, “I am scared of the Party, PDP. Wike just revealed that the National Chairman, State Chairman, Governor of Rivers State of the PDP, approved his being appointed Minister by Tinubu.

“I can say it authoritatively that Labour Party and @PeterObi have made it clear that they are not… part of this government. A new Nigeria cannot be possible with old expired, corrupt, election riggers. PDP and APC have expired. We must move on to a new Nigeria without these parties in contemplation”
