According to report, a three-story building at No. 14 Ikpoh Street in Surulere, Lagos State, has fallen.
This was said by Ibrahim Farinloye, the South West Coordinator for the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), in a conversation with media on Saturday.
The structure collapsed on Friday night about 10:00 p.m., according to Farinloye, who also noted that there were no casualties reported in the incident.
Gervase Anyanwu, a resident of the building, claimed that everyone else was able to escape the structure before it collapsed altogether.

Anyanwu claimed that a loud noise was heard at one of the building’s wings just before it collapsed.
“Immediately we heard the sound, all the occupants of the building gathered at the mustard point, before evacuating for safety.
“No casualty was recorded,” Anyanwu said.
Anyanwu stated that it was “simply by the grace of God” that the residents were able to leave the building right away.
Another street resident spoke as well, stating that the building had displayed severe indicators of distress before to its collapse.

The building’s rubble had not yet been excavated as at the time of this report, but all relevant emergency management government agencies had indicated their presence on the scene.
