Dele Momodu, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, has reacted to a remark by the All Progressive Congress (APC) National Secretary, Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, requesting the federal government to pursue Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) for treason.
Remember that Bashiru stated that it is time for the Attorney General of the Federation to investigate some of Obi’s claims.
Momodu, who posted a photo of Bashiru on his Instagram account, claimed that politicians are now frightening Nigerians for expressing their views.

He said that President Bola Tinubu’s popularity stemmed from his frequent attacks on former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Momodu questioned why someone would demand that Peter Obi be charged with treason simply because he asked some questions.
According to him, “Some politicians who are now threatening fellow Nigerians for PEACEFULLY expressing their opinions have studiously forgotten our contemporary history… Nobody was more vocal against dictatorship than TINUBU… He gained a lot of popularity by constantly attacking PRESIDENT OLUSEGUN OBASANJO and others. Why would anyone say PETER OBI should be charged for treason for asking some pertinent questions? Are we moving from MILITARY TYRANY to CIVILIAN DICTATORSHIP? This type of renewed HERO WORSHIP is extremely dangerous and unfortunate‼!”
