Truecaller Appoints Ogochukwu Onwuzurike as Nigeria Country Manager

Global communication platform Truecaller has announced the appointment of Ogochukwu Onwuzurike as its Country Manager in Nigeria. This significant move was revealed in a statement issued from Lagos State.

As Country Manager, Onwuzurike will be responsible for overseeing Truecaller’s go-to-market strategy and managing the entire expansion process of the platform within Nigeria. Her role will also involve negotiation and collaboration with vendors, service providers, and local businesses to promote Truecaller and establish it as a household name in Nigeria.

The statement highlighted Onwuzurike’s impressive background, with over a decade of experience spanning various industries, including banking, payments, fintech, and SaaS. She has worked with renowned organizations such as GlaxoSmithKline, Philip Morris International, Interswitch, and MetaMap. Onwuzurike holds a degree in Communications from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Business from the Emeritus Institute of Management.

Speaking about her new role, Onwuzurike expressed her enthusiasm for joining Truecaller. Nami Zarringhalam, Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer at Truecaller, praised Onwuzurike’s extensive experience and welcomed her addition to the team. Truecaller has been witnessing increased growth in regions like Africa, Latin America, and parts of Southeast Asia in 2023.
