The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, is being held in prison; nevertheless, Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has stated that this is not the fault of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

While stating that his administration is making every effort to secure Kanu’s release, Otti made the statement.

He claimed that in order to obtain Kanu’s release, his administration had taken “a different approach.”

Otti stated that the “different approach” would remain confidential until the intended outcomes were achieved.

He made the point that, albeit keeping his efforts from the media, he has been working covertly to secure the release of the IPOB leader.

“I believe in results rather than media hype. We do not want media noise. We are working very hard to ensure his (Kanu’s) release,” he said.

According to the governor, Kanu’s imprisonment was not caused by President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
