Anambra State and Afreximbank Sign $200 Million Development Agreement

In a significant move towards the development of Anambra State, the government and Afreximbank have inked a $200 million development agreement, marking a pivotal moment for the state’s future. The agreement is divided into two mandates, with the first focusing on capital-raising financial advisory services dedicated to vital projects. These projects include the development of the Ikenga Mixed-Use Industrial City Project, investments in the Anambra Export Emporium, and the establishment of the Akwaihedi Unubi Uga Automotive Industrial Park.

The second initiative aims to create the operational and governance framework for the Anambra Diaspora Fund. This initiative seeks to leverage the resources and expertise of the diaspora community for the benefit of the state. The signing ceremony for these transformative deals took place on the sidelines of the Intra-African Trade Fair 2023 in Cairo, Egypt.
