Dino Melaye, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Kogi State governor in 2023, has urged that the poll be cancelled entirely.
Melaye stated on Sunday via his X account that the results are being ‘cooked’ in favour of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He went on to say that the only way forward is to annul the November 11 off-cycle poll in Kogi State.

Okene, the former Senator, shared an election result sheet from one of the state’s local government areas, writing: “Okene LG alone wrote 138,416 for APC.” This manufactured result must be rejected. The solution is total cancellation.”
Anaedoonline.ng previously announced that Melaye had been defeated in his local government area of Ijumu.
According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) results released on Sunday, Melaye was beaten by the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Usman Ododo.
Ododo, the APC candidate, received 10,524 votes, while Melaye, the PDP contender, received 6,909 votes.
