ValueJet’s Managing Director, Capt. Dapo Majekodunmi, responded to the news in a discussion with Vanguard, stating that the aircraft was unable to keep the centerline due to algae growing on the taxiway.

Majekodunmi reassured the public that ValueJet is committed to safety and that business as usual is continuing as usual for the airline.
