Students studying non-science courses, including those in their first year, their final year, and those returning to school, will have to pay N111,000, N91,500, and N114,000, according to the revised tuition schedule.

In addition, these categories will be subject to N36,500, N21,500, and N21,500 in third-party dues.

The updated costs for scientific courses are N155,000 for first-years, N125,000 for returning students, and N148,000 for final-year students. There will also be N38,500, N21,500, and N21,500 in third-party dues.

Before the change, depending on the department, the tuition costs ranged from N64,050 for first-year students to N52,050 for final-year students to N49,500 for returning students.

The administration of the university made it clear that maintaining the reputation for academic quality at the school and the current state of the economy were the driving forces for the fee hike.
