Bola Tinubu has sent security officials a strong warning, highlighting the necessity of winning the fight against the country’s security concerns. Failure, he said, is not an option because it would prevent Nigeria from achieving its ambition of building a $1 trillion economy.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu’s special assistant on media and publicity, on Friday. The statement was captioned, “President Tinubu to security chiefs: You are making good progress, but there must be conclusive victory.”
He stated, “We have too many investments that we need to make now in soft and physical infrastructure, in social security, in MSME empowerment, and other growth enablers.

“We are pursuing a $1trn economy in the next few years, and our efforts will be undermined if we do not finally wrap up our progressive onslaught against enemies of progress.
Tinubu voiced his alarm about the military and intelligence community’s repeated misdirected attacks on defenceless civilians, calling such “errors” “unacceptable.”
Tinubu acknowledged that efforts to handle certain security risks on several fronts have made headway, but he said that the final test of success will be the total elimination of these complex dangers.
