Bello Bodejo, the leader of Miyetti Allah Kautal Kore, has been cleared of a terrorist allegation brought against him by the Attorney General of the Federation’s office by Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Justice Ekwo dismissed Bodejo following the AGF’s attorney, Aderonke Imana, filing an oral request to have the three-count
Imana told the court she had an oral application during the hearing that was resumed on Wednesday.

The attorney stated that Section 108 of the 2015 Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA) applied to the application.
She added that the Attorney-General of the Federation had given her the order to drop the charges against the defendant in the interest of justice, and that the request was further supported by the AGF’s authority under Section 174 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended).
Counsel representing Bodejo thanked the AGF for his kind offer but did not object to the application.
Ahmed Raji, his lead attorney, then urged the court to clear the accused in accordance with the sections the prosecution had cited.
