Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara has revealed that his disagreement with previous Governor Nyesom Wike was not a “routine political dispute.”

Three months after becoming governor, Fubara declared he faced a crisis.

The political makeup of the state has been a point of contention between the governor and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, who is currently the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

President Bola Tinubu’s actions notwithstanding, the two had not ended their cold war.

Fubara, however, stated that the worst is behind him when he gave his administration’s one-year report card yesterday in Port Harcourt.

Additionally, Fubara revealed that Wike left his administration with 34 unfinished projects valued at roughly N225.279 billion.

He stated that thirteen local governments area of the states are involved in the initiatives.

According to Fubara: “We started this journey with a bang. We were focused. We were determined to make the change we promised with a sense of urgency.

“But then, we suddenly found ourselves in the cesspit of crisis barely three months into our tenure. It was not just an ordinary political crisis. It was a vicious existential crisis.
