Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has awarded Olaniyi Mubaraq Olawale, the overall best-graduating student of Lagos State University (LASU), a sum of N10 million. This announcement was made during the university’s 27th convocation grand finale.
Governor Sanwo-Olu’s appreciation for Olawale’s stellar academic performance was highlighted on social media by Jubril Gawat, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media. Gawat tweeted, “FLASH: Governor of Lagos State, Mr. #jidesanwoolu has announced a token of N10m for the overall best graduating student of Lagos State University (#LASUOfficial), Olaniyi Mubaraq Olawale, Accounting Education, who graduated with a CGPA of 4.98.”
The governor made this generous announcement during the convocation ceremony held on Thursday, honoring Olawale for his remarkable academic achievement. Olawale, who graduated with a near-perfect CGPA of 4.98 in Accounting Education, stands out as an exemplary student at LASU.
