Telecom operator Airtel Nigeria has pledged to donate N2 million to the family of Sodiq Olayode, who recently welcomed quadruplets with his wife, Abiodun. This generous contribution comes after Nigerians raised over N16 million for the family through online donations.
Airtel Nigeria made the announcement on X.com on Thursday, expressing their support for the Olayode family. The post read, “Hello, #jamysax, when life gives quadruplets, we give #ovajara support! We’re adding N2m because great things come in multiples.”
The Olayode family’s story gained widespread attention on social media after Olayode’s colleague, Oyeniran James, shared their struggles on X.com on Tuesday. Using the hashtag #jamysax, James revealed that the quadruplets used 105 diapers in just six days, prompting a wave of generosity from Nigerians who donated millions of naira to Olayode’s bank account, provided by James.

By Thursday at 2 PM, James reported that the donations had reached N16,265,209. In addition to financial support, Nigerians have also donated diapers, baby items, food, and more.
Olayode and his wife, who initially expected a single child, were surprised by the arrival of quadruplets—two boys and two girls. The outpouring of support from Airtel Nigeria and the public has significantly helped the family during this unexpected time.
