LADY, 23, MURDERED IN AWKA DURING MORNING EXERCISE
A 23 year-old lady identified as Oluchukwu Ezeobi, from Nanka, Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State has lost her life to unknown assailants.
Information has it that Miss Ezeobi was having her usual morning walk around Emma Nnaemeka area within Ziks Avenue, Awka; when two boys accosted her, ordered her to hand her handset to them but she resisted them.
The source said it was during their struggle over the handset that the 23 year-old was stabbed severally, and was left to struggle in the pool of her blood; while the assailants dispossessed her of her handset and ran away.
The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Haruna Mohammed, said he got confirmation of the development from the Divisional Police Officer of the Central Police Station, CPS, Awka, who told him that the incident took place in the early hours Tuesday, February 12, at about 6:30am. He said the Command will conduct discreet investigation into the incident with a view to apprehend perpetrators and bring them to justice.
