Alex Otti, the newly elected governor of Abia State, has removed posts on the microblogging network Twitter in which he described Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi as “My President In Waiting.”
According to media reports, Otti referred to Obi as “My President in Waiting” on Wednesday.
Otti claimed this when Obi rushed to Twitter to congratulate his party’s candidate on his victory in the Abia State governorship election.

Obi in his congratulatory message wrote, “A while ago, I spoke with my brother, Dr Alex Otti @alexottiofr, the Governor-elect of Abia State and heartily congratulated him on his election. I am gratified that the will and wish freely expressed by the Abia electorates have been respected.
“I pray for God’s guidance and protection for the incoming Governor of God’s Own State. -PO”
Otti responded on Twitter, thanking Obi for his nice words and prayers ahead of the governorship election in Abia State.
He wrote, “Thank you very much for your kind words and prayers my President in waiting.”

However fresh update from Otti’s account indicates that he has deleted the tweet where he addressed Obi as “President in waiting.”
However, Otti is yet to give any reason why the tweet was deleted.
