Katsina State Governor Umar Dikko Radda bemoaned the increasing activities of bandits across the state.
Radda voiced his concerns, claiming that these criminals were taking over several of the state’s schools.
At the Federal University, Dutsinma (FUDMA), in Katsina State, at its seventh and eighth joint convocation ceremony, the governor delivered these words.
According to Radda, the Katsina State Community Watch Corps was established by his government to fight insecurity and give the state’s students a safe place to learn.

The governor vowed to eliminate the terrorist danger in spite of the corps’ continuous efforts and emphasised that his administration will not waver in its commitment to security.
According to Radda, “There is no education without security. Many of our frontline local government areas have had their schools closed due to banditry, and in some cases, schools have become dens for bandits.
“My administration has made out-of-school children a main priority, and we will continue to work with all partners to reduce the numbers.
“We will also work with religious schools to provide academic tools for students in a bid to prepare them for the world ahead.”
