Her exceptional accomplishments and commitment to expanding diversity in the medical industry are recognised by this prestigious award.
Her brother Chidi Achebe revealed this, saying that Maureen received a letter dated July 2, 2024, from Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a renowned teaching hospital connected to Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts, notifying her of the coveted prize. In the post, he highlighted Maureen’s noteworthy accomplishment and conveyed his pride and happiness.

Maureen Okam-Achebe is the President of AIDE Healthcare International, an Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School, and the Director of several programmes at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, among her many esteemed positions.
She is triple board certified in internal medicine, haematology, and medical oncology. She also teaches medicine at Harvard Medical School.
